So... historically I've harassed my friends over e-mail with various political/hilarious missives. That "push" format unfortunately can't be easily dodged short of setting up inbox filters. So I figure the "pull" format of a blog would perform the same service, and possibly even save a few of my friendships along the way. =P

This is so totally random.... a reference to an apparently obscure anime meme... but hey, it folds in early 80s Tootsie Pop animation, so it won me over. =P
Sounds to me like a reference to Dragonball Z. Specifically, when Vegeta first fights Frieza's henchmen on Namek and they're surprised by his power. (Should I be embarrassed now?)
